Life in Pictures: Scotland

Here's a peek {via iPhone} into my trip to Scotland! It's a grand understatement to say Scotland is beautiful - I was blown away by both the cities and the countryside. The architecture! The stone! The green! The hills! The water! I could go on forever! I only had eight days, and went most places by train - such a great way to see a country! I really enjoyed it!

I'm not going to write much about my day to day there, but if you have any questions, leave me a comment and I'll make sure to answer it! xo

{now, to Iceland! Keep up on instagram!}

  1. These are beautiful and you are gorgeous. Come back to Denver after Iceland so I can hear all about your adventures in person please!! 🙂 hehe. xoxoxox

  2. Gorgeous photos! I'd love to go to Scotland someday. Any chance you'll be creating some recipes based on some of the local food you tried on your travels? 🙂

  3. These photos are absolutely gorgeous, and I love how quaint that bookstore is!! I'm going to be in England for Christmas and next summer, so hopefully, I can pop over to Scotland and see those castles and beautiful countryside!

  4. Oh, those pictures remind me of the lovely beautifully kept towns I used to visit when I lived there. If you are there on a Sunday, be sure to find a local eatery that serves a "Carvery" for brunch. It is like a Thanksgiving meal - spectacularly roasted meats, beautifully prepared puddings and savory breads. On weekdays pop into the woolsworth or five and dime(Marks and spencer) store even Boots (pharmacy) which generally has a small diner in the back for some lovely sandwiches that are very inexpensive; much better than paying full price at a restaurant. If you head north towards Aberdeen and beyond, you must try the fish and chips. That is the very best treat of all!!
