Hi Melissa! Yay! I'm so glad you all like it! I can answer your second question easily: I used a 12oz bottle. (YAY for other Portlanders, too!! There are so many great beers here that would work beautifully in this recipe!). As for question #1... I've not tried it, so I can't speak with confidence here. I think you probably COULD make it work, but I'm not sure what to recommend on timing! 3 hours on high? I'd definitely make sure I could check in on it after 2 hours the first time I try — and I'd love to know what you find, if you do try! It's been a long time since I've made this (despite loving it!) – it might be time to give it another go!

1) could this be adapted for a crockpot to accommodate a larger batch?

2) how many ounces is the bottle of Guinness that you use for the recipe? On perusing the beer aisle it appears that it comes in cans and a couple other sizes. Of course being from Portland - I like to use a local beer and wanted to ensure I was matching the volume correctly!
