In reply to andrea. Hi Andrea!! Thick soy sauce is kind of like a sweeter, condensed version of soy sauce. It's very thick. I use one like this, and you can read a discussion about it here. Enjoy!! xo

I ate at a Vietnamese restaurant that relocated a town over a couple weeks ago. (There'd been a big fire at their previous location.) It's a popular place, and I sure see why. I ordered a ginger pork bun. I've been on a frantic search for a recipe ever since. (If it didn't require the hassle of catching a bus in this small town, I'd just go eat there every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. :) ) I had to laugh, though, at your mentioning not to skip on the sauce. At the end of our meal there, I asked my friend if anyone was watching. When she said "no," I quickly swigged the last of my sauce *and* hers. :) So, yeah, don't be put off by the sauce. Although it's a tad embarrassing to be *that* turned on by the sauce. :)
