Hi Lina! Thanks for the comment! The only thing coming to mind in HCMC is a place that serves amazing Bun Thit Nu'ong — by far my favorite Vietnamese dish. You can find the address here! There is also a really good place for Banh Mi in an alley to the South of Nguyen Trai — just a lady with her little grill set up! It's before the traffic circle where the Starbucks is.

Enjoy Saigon!

I love reading your travel adventures. I'm from the US and living in Malaysia. I'm visiting Ho Chi Minh City and wanted to see if you have any favourite place to visit or to eat. Good luck in Bali!!! Thanks

Thanks, Traci! Even though we've only been here for 10 days, I can definitely recommend visiting Vietnam! It's amazing! I hope to start talking more and more about my cultural observations, and hopefully getting more "real" glimpses into daily life here.

SO much good food!! We haven't had too much "bad" weather at all — I guess we aren't really sure what to expect, anyways, so it all works out. Not TOO hot most days, and only rained on once! Thanks for the comment!

Vietnamese coffee ice cream sounds AMAZING!! I'll have to remember this for when I get back to my ice cream maker!

Thanks, Erin! I definitely had some on-lookers — mainly some very cute little kids!

The Hanoi Four Seasons Hotel (not THAT four seasons, though!). It's at 17 Cua Dong in the old district! I believe the owners name is Ta, and she is the bomb! Ask for a room with a window — they're substantially better than those without.
